How do I adjust the password policy for a standalone Windows 2008 server

From the Start window, type “Local Security Policy.”
1) Go to Security Settings > Account Policies > Password Policy.
2) Disable the option “Password must meet complexity requirements.”
3) Make sure that the “Maximum password age” is set to zero. The rest of the options can be zero as well.
Should be all you need to do.
